Darth Vader / Anakin Skywalker

Anakin has always been a tragic character. Burdened with the promise of an illustrious career as a Jedi Knight, the responsibility of being the Chosen One, and the death of his mother, Anakin's slow but steady spiral down the Dark Side of the Force eventually sealed his fate as the Dark Lord of the Sith. He betrayed all that he stood for, and destroyed all that he ever loved - including his relationship with his friend, mentor and master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Worst of all, his quest of finding absolute power to stop Death as seen in his visions, led him down a path that resulted in him tragically killing Padme, his beloved wife, in a cruel twist of fate which he inflicted upon himself. Here, I want to portray Anakin's regret. He takes one last glance towards the Light before pledging his allegiance to the Emperor, and adopting the name that is synonymous with fear itself, Darth Vader.
